Since 2016, ENERGO CONTROL Ltd. in cooperation with the main EPC contractor SES Tlmače a.s. have been executing the currently largest energetic project (2018) in Cuba – a complete modernization of Máximo Gómez, Mariel thermal electric power plant unit No.6, (100MW).
Unit No.6 modernization is a complex project including works such as civil works for the boiler as well as for the turbine, repair and reinforcement of boiler and turbine bases, supply and installation of the new boiler and turbine, complete installation of all connections, field instrumentation, water treatment, control and direction system (DCS), electrical output of the unit, auxiliary equipment, etc.
In accordance with the conditions stipulated in the contract, ENERGO CONTROL Ltd. executes the design, documentation, supply, assembly, programming and commissioning of the Control and Direction System (DCS), field instrumentation, electrical part of the block and training for the operation and maintenance personnel in full scope.
The scope of works covers:

Complete modernization of the High Voltage distribution220kV - Complete modernization of the Medium Voltage distribution6kV
- Complete modernization of the Low Voltage distrib. 440V, 220V

The whole system of control and direction of the block is implemented on a single platform – Siemens PCS7.
This platform is applied at all levels of control, which allows the client to have a unique access point and history registration of all controlled equipment. The control system appliedin this project is Siemens PCS7 9.0 Service Pack 2, the most up-to-date version at the time of installation.
The turbine control is implemented on the same Siemens platform PCS7 with its special modules for turbine control – AddFEM POCO. These special modules allow the final elements to be controlled at speed of 3ms
